Abstract

1,157,342. Sheet delivery apparatus. RANK XEROX Ltd. 28 Oct., 1966 [1 Nov., 1965], No. 48356/66. Heading B8R. [Also in Division G2] Sheets carrying a transferred developed electrostatic image are stripped, progressively across their width, from a xerographic drum 10 by an apparatus having a plurality of orifices 27 which supply compressed air directed against the surface of the drum. A manifold 25 carrying the orifices is tilted in a vertical plane to promote progressive stripping. Compressed air is delivered to the manifold by a tube 29 under the control of a solenoid valve 31 actuated when a switch (15) Fig. 1 (not shown) is operated by feeding a sheet to the drum 10. An accumulator tank 35 is supplied with compressed air by a compressor 36.
