Abstract

1,169,410. Developing electrostatic images. FUJI SHASIN FILM K.K. Nov.15, 1967 [Nov.19, 1966], No.52024/67. Heading G2H. Photo-conductive powder A to be applied to a member 14, fed beneath a duct 6, is supplied from a hopper 1 having a gate 2 to a reservoir in which a roller 3 rotates, the uppermost surface of the roller being above the upper surface level of the photo-conductive powder. The roller 3 supplies the powder to the duct 6 under the control of a doctor blade 7. A chamber 12 having an aperture 10 is connected to a conduit 13 which supplies air under pressure. Air is thus mixed with the powder in the duct 6. Corona discharge electrodes 8 are connected to a D.C. high-tension supply, e.g., 4-100 KV. The electrodes may be in the form of needles large pitched saw teeth, plates or small diameter wires.
