1317522 Electro-photography SAVIN BUSINESS MACHINES CORP 19 April 1971 [9 March 1970] 23351/71 Heading G2H [Also in Division H1] A uniform electro-static charging device for a moving photo conductive sheet comprises three parallel taut tungsten wires 130 in a plane parallel to the sheet but at an angle of 75-83 degrees to the direction of movement of the sheet, the distance of the device from the sheet being adjustable by means of nuts 101 and the device being supplied with current of variable voltage, Fig. 3 (not shown). Values of original and corresponding print density for a given developer and voltage or distance are utilized for reference purposes.
