Abstract

1,169,632. Electrostatic printing processes. RANK XEROX Ltd. 10 May, 1967 [11 May, 1966], No. 21762/67. Heading B6C. [Also in Division G2] An electrostatic charging device for uniformly charging a xerographic plate or for transferring a developed image to a copysheet has side walls 12, 13 and a bottom wall 11 of conductive material. A corona wire (15), Fig.2(notshown), is mounted between blocks (16) and (20) of insulating material. A dielectric shield 45, 46, Fig. 4, is fitted to inclined portions 41, 42, such that dust accumulated thereon does not effect the uniformity of the charge produced by the device.
