Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a wet type developing device of improved image quality by a conductive guiding plate being electrically insulated, a grounded counter electrode plate forming a recording paper passage, a means of supplying the developing solution between said conductive guiding plate and the counter electrode plate, etc.
CONSTITUTION: A conductive guiding plate 1 is electrically insulated from others and is held floated. A counter electrode plate 2 is opposedly disposed by leaving a predetermined space from this conductive guide plate 1 and this is held grounded. Recording paper 3 is of the constitution consisting in laminating a photoconductive layer 5 on a base 4 and is electrophotographically formed with electrostatic latent images of negative electric charge. The developing solution dispersed with the positive-charged toner is being supplied between this recording paper 3 and the counter electrode plate 2. Since the conductive guiding plate 1 is held insulated, it assumes the positive potential similar to that of the base 4 owing to dielectric polarization effect, thereby electrostatically repulsing the toner being charged to the same polarity as that of the same. As a result, the toner is prevented from sticking on the nonimage part of the recording paper.
