1356643 Electrostatic recording RESEARCH LABORATORIES OF AUSTRALIA PTY Ltd 10 Dec 1971 [14 Dec 1970] 57607/71 Heading G2H A dielectric surface 1 is uniformly charged by a corona discharge device 5, selectively discharged by earthed styli 9, developed at 10 and the developed image is transferred to a receiver 16. The developer preferably comprises a liquid suspension of toner particles and may develop the charged or the uncharged areas on surface 1. Fig. 3 (not shown) shows a recording head comprising styli (41-48) of enamelled copper wire potted in resin (49).
