Abstract

1349272 Electro-photographic developing apparatus XEROX CORP 19 April 1971 [19 March 1970] 24165/71 Heading G2H Developer comprising toner and carrier particles is cascaded over an image bearing drum 10 past an electrode 26 and then is deflected by a plate 28 at the point where carrier particles start to fall away from the drum. Without such a plate, toner clouds would form around the lower regions of the drum and, in the absence of scavenging carrier particles, would deposit on the drum.
