Abstract
1,017,395. Charging device for xerographic apparatus. W. ZINDLER [trading as LUMOPRINT ZINDLER KOMM-GES]. July 13, 1962 [July 26, 1961], No. 27070/62. Heading G2H. In a xerographic apparatus having exposure, charging, developing and fixing stations, there is provided guide means of non-conductive material between a transport element and the changing electrodes of the changing device for guiding xerographic copy material at a fixed spacing from the electrodes and towards the transport member, this member having a curved transport surface, and the guide means are constructed as bars or strips curved in conformity with the transport surface and extending between the electrodes and transport surface so as to allow uniform changing of the copy material. As shown a curved plate 26 has a V-shaped opening 27 in the middle and on the either side openings 28, which are inclined outwardly in the direction of advance of the copy material, separated by strips 42. This plate is preferably used in xerographic apparatus of Specification 1,017,396. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 819,510.
