Abstract

PURPOSE:To allow a cleaning device to operate favorably even if a toner becomes solid after long term suspension, by providing a guide member on the lower part of an opening for feed for a cleaning liquid, and feeding the liquid to a roller located in the high position of a drum. CONSTITUTION:Elastic roller 2 and elastic cleaning blade 3 are arranged as cleaning members near the top of photosensitive drum, and opening 4 for feeding a cleaning liquid is provided between them. Guide member 6 is installed below opening 4 to lead the liquid toward roller 2. Therefore, a sufficient amount of the liquid is fed to roller 2 before copying, permitting roller 2 to be sufficiently wetted even if the toner becomes solid because of long term suspension, and copyig operation to be made smooth.
