Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration in copy image quality at high humidity by detecting humidity in a mcachine, and guiding collected toner to a collection bottle at high humidity or returning it to a developing device for reuse at low humidity. CONSTITUTION:Collected toner guided from a cleaning device 6 to the 2nd toner reservoir 12 is carried as shown by an arrow 22 or 21 according to the turning direction of an auger 13 driven by a motor 14. The turning direction of the motor 14 is controlled according to variation in humidity near a developing device 4; when a humidity sensor 23 detects high humidity, the motor 14 is reversed to guide the collected toner as shown by the arrow 22 to a collection bottle 18 for disusing and when it detects low humidity, the motor 14 is turned forwards to send the collected toner as shown by the arrow 21 to the developing device for reuse.
