Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent toner from being discharged to the outside of the machine even when a casing is moved to its evacuation position while a driving means is being operated by providing a clutch means between a conveying members and its driving means. CONSTITUTION:Toner removed by a blade 8 from an image carrier surface is discharged from a casing 7 by a screw 10 and is collected and recovered in a toner recovery vessel 19. When a support member 21 is turned in order to move the casing 7 in the evacuation direction in the direction going apart from the image carrier, the first gear 47 which drives the screw 10 also moves together with the casing 7 and since this gear 47 disengages from the position-immobile second gear, the driving of the screw 10 is surely and automatically prevented, hence flying of the toner from the toner discharge part 10a of the screw 10 to the outside may be prevented.
