Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent damage during suspension of a photoreceptor, and black lines on an image, by drawing a blade apart from the photoreceptor before suspension of it. CONSTITUTION:When copying operation is completed, FFI is reset, and main motor IM for moving a photoreceptor, etc. is suspended. A blade-on signal is generated soon after start of rotation of IM, and a blade-off signal is produced soon after suspension of IM. Timer T1 is triggered by this blade-off signal, and solenoid 29 for pressing the blade is actuated by the timer signal to draw the blade apart from the photoreceptor. In case of jamming of a transfer paper during copying, timer T1 is triggered by the jam signal, and solenoid 29 is actuated to draw the blade from the photoreceptor.
