Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate operation of paper feed action when a large number of papers are continuously needed, by rendering a paper feeder having a large storage capacity attachable to an image formation apparatus in place of a paper feed cassette having a small storage capacity. CONSTITUTION:A member 32 for placing a paper feeder 2 is installed on a stage 3 for placing a double cassette type electrophotographic copying apparatus 1. When a large number of papers are successively needed, the paper feed cassette 101 on the lowest step is drawn out, and the feeder 2 is attached onto the member 32 located on the lower part of the right side of the apparatus 1 so as to situate the end of the paper guide member 29 of the feeder 2 in the paper feed part 131 of the apparatus 1. A changeover switch installed in the main body 4 of the apparatus 1 is actuated by this attachment, permitting paper feed control using the paper feed cassette 101, 102 to be changed over to that using the feeder 2.
