Abstract

1,145,597. Photographic and electro-photographic apparatus. KONISHIROKU PHOTO INDUSTRY CO. Ltd. Jan. 31, 1967 [Feb. 3, 1966], No. 4702/67. Headings G2A and G2H. A photographic or electro-photographic copying machine has a rotary drum 1 which carries a supply 13 and take-up roll 14 for sensitive paper within the drum. The roll 14 is driven intermittently to renew a length of paper on the outside of the drum 1. The roll 14 is driven by gears (27, 25, 30, 32 Fig. 3 not shown) under the control of an electromagnet 46 energized by a switch (49) by a cam (50). By replacement of cam 50 the length of paper fed may be varied. As applied to electro-photographic copying the paper has a photo-conductive coating charged by an electrode 3, exposed to an original 11 through a slit 41 and developed by a brush 4. The developed image produced is transferred by an electrode 5 to a web 7. In another embodiment, Fig. 4 (not shown) the image is not transferred.
