Abstract

116,254. Mascart, C. June 1, 1917, [Convention date]. Flat endless-belt conveyers; idler drums; troughing-rollers; auxiliary belts. - An elevating apparatus for use in warehouses, mine shafts, shops and in unloading ships, dredging, &c., comprises a pair of belts 1, 6 arranged in a zigzag path which grip the material between them. The belts may be supported by rollers or fixed guidesurfaces between the drums 3, 4, 5, &c., and may be troughed by inclined rollers or guide-members. The drums 3, 4, 5 may be grooved. The belt, which is uppermost at any inclined portion of the path where the inclination is sufficient for the materials to be carried forward by the lower belt only may be diverted for a short distance and passed round a driving drum, tensioning-device, &c. Specification 105,542 is referred to.
