Abstract
1,141,452. Xerographic plate. RANK XEROX Ltd. 25 Feb., 1966 [1 March, 1965], No. 8540/66. Heading H1K. A xerographic plate comprises a conductive substrate, a voltage regulating layer comprising Bi, oxidized Bi, Cu selenide or Sn, and a photoconductive layer on the regulating layer. The substrate may be Al, Mg, Cr steel, brass, glass, a plastics sheet or paper, the non-conductive materials being coated or impregnated with carbon black, gold or copper iodide. The photoconductor is preferably Se or an alloy thereof with As or Te but other organic or inorganic photoconductors are specified including polymers and complexes of Lewis acids.
