1,140,692. Fuel injection pumps. ROBERT BOSCH G.m.b.H. April 6,1966 [April 7, 1965], No. 15426/66. Heading F1A. In a fuel injection pump having a rotatable pumping and distributing plunger 1, 2, 3, the plunger is biased by a spring arranged around the cylinder 5 of the plunger pumping portion 1 and acting on the plunger shoulder 32 to maintain engagement between the face cam 26 and the rollers 27. The output of the pump is regulated by the hydraulically actuated control spool 4 which controls the spill conduit 15a, 15d, 15e. The cam 26 may be fixed and the rollers 27 journalled to a member rotatable with the drive shaft 25. Rotary adjustment of the stationary part of the cam mechanism may be effected to vary the injection timing.
