Abstract

1,084,434. Fuel injection pumps. KUBOTA TEKKO KABUSHIKI KAISHA and NIHON DENSO KABUSHIKI KAISHA. Sept. 7, 1964 [Dec. 28, 1963], No. 36508/64. Heading F1A. In a cam actuated reciprocating plunger fuel injection pump the plunger is rotatable to vary the quantity of fuel injected and is provided with grooves 1 and 2 which determine the end and start of injection, respectively. The groove 2 is inclined towards the groove 1 to provide a retarded injection when the quantity injected is small and the cam profile is such that the velocity of the plunger is less when the quantity injected is small than when it is large.
