Abstract

1,122,990. Dry shavers. V. KOBLER and W. KOBLER, [trading as KOBLER & CO.]. 26 July, 1967 [29 July, 1966], No. 34269/67. Heading B4B. In a multiple part shearing head for dry shavers comprising a plurality of elongate outer shearing elements 4 of U-shaped crosssection and associated elongate driven inner shearing elements 5 resiliently applied against the elements 4, the elements 4 are removably held side by side in grooves 2 of a base plate 1 by means of a U-shaped wire 6 the legs of which pass through bores I<SP>1</SP> in ribs 1 and through bores 4<SP>11</SP> in the legs 4<SP>1</SP> of the elements 4. The plate 1 may be an integral part of the shaver or be removably secured thereto by means of sliding pawls 16 engaging grooves 14 in bolts 13 carried by the plate 1, the pawls each being held by one end of a spring 18, or 18<SP>1</SP> the other end of which is secured to a pivotable cover flap 19 or 19<SP>1</SP>. Operatively connected to a driving motor by a lever arm 22 is a pivotally-mounted driver member 11 which carries three extensions 9 in spaced alignment corresponding to the distance between three recesses 7 provided in the plate 1. Driving sleeves 10 on the upper ends of the extensions 9 are urged by springs 8 into engagement with the recesses 7 to impart reciprocating motion to the inner shearing elements 5.
