Abstract

1,115,509. Image dissectors. INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORPORATION 17 Sept., 1965 [24 Sept., 1964], No. 39739/65. Heading H1D. In an image dissector tube a curved mesh accelerating electrode 48, at or slightly below the potential of electrodes 50 and 19, ensures that all electrons emitted from the photocathode 16 perform an integral number of complete revolutions in the axial magnetic focusing field in the region between the photo-cathode and the pick-up aperture 20. The curvature of the mesh is determined by means of a formula given in the Specification.
