The description is the same as that of Specification 1,165,002, but the claims are directed to a cathode-ray tube in which an electronpermeable electrostatic screen-e.g. a mesh grid electrode-is disposed adjacent the exit end of a pair of electrostatic deflection plates,'whereby, by the application of a suitable potential to the grid-e.g. the mean potential of the deflection plates-curvature of the image field may be corrected.
