Abstract

1,114,134. Ammunition cartridges. MUANYAGIPARI KUTATO INTEZET. 10 Aug., 1965 [12 Aug., 1964], No. 34238/65. Heading F3A. A cartridge case made from thermoplastic polymers is provided with longitudinally extending ribs which may project from both the inner and outer surfaces or from one surfaces only. The case has a tubular wall with a thickened base portion in which is a primerreceiving aperture 5. The inner surface of the base flares outwardly from the mouth of the aperture and the wall portion 2 tapers to the region of the overpowder wad. From this region to the mouth of the case, the wall is of uniform thickness. The mouth portion 4 of the tube may be reduced in thickness to facilitate crimping over a shot charge. An extractor rim 6 is provided on the base. The cartridge case may be transparent.
