Abstract
1,109,387. Engine stop gear. SCHWERMASCHINENBAU "KARL LIEBKNECHT" MAGDEBURG VEB. Feb.17, 1967, No.7633/67. Heading F1K. An electromagnetically actuated device for cutting off the supply of fuel to the injection pump of an injection type internal-combustion engine comprises a spring-loaded valve member 2 axially displaceably mounted in a valve body 1 and co-operating with a valve seat 4 and also co-operating with a spring-loaded arresting means 18 serving to hold the valve member in its open position and being actuated by an electromagnet 17 to release the valve member into its closing position to cut-off the fuel supply to the pump and a housing 16 releasably secured on the valve body for axial and rotational movement thereon and receiving the arresting means and the electromagnet. By means of the pin 23 the shut-off member 2 can be released by hand. Appropriate transmission elements (not shown) for signalling the operative condition of the engine are referred to.
