In means wherein a rail is secured to a sleeper by a resilient metal member having parallel legs bearing on the top of the rail base and in a projection extending from the sleeper, a metallic member is positioned between the projection and the edge of the rail base. The metallic members may be positioned on each side of each rail and may be of different horizontal thicknesses.
