Abstract

1,078,709. Fastening railway rails. LOCKSPIKE Ltd. May 12, 1966 [Oct. 14, 1965], No. 43681/65. Heading E1G. A rail fastening member of resilient metal rod has a first substantially straight portion 1 third 3 and fifth 5 portions which appear on opposite sides of the first portion, when the member is received from above as in Fig. 3, and second 2 and fourth 4 portions joining the other portions and arranged such that one of the second and fourth portions crosses and lies above the other of these portions. The member may be right or left handed, may be modified to prevent release as in Specification 869,385 and may be used in place of the member described in Specification 861,473 in Specification 875,031; 884,237; 913,319; 944,688; 968,659; 971,325; 1,039,017; and 1,047,989.
