Abstract

1,059,190. Fastening rails to sleepers. LOCKSPIKE, Ltd. Nov. 4, 1965, No. 46866/65. Heading E1G. A concrete sleeper 3 has anchored therein four sheet metal members 10 providing open ended passages in the direction of the width of the sleeper, for the reception of fastening members 7, 8, 9, the members 10 being so shaped that they can be blanked from strip without waste except at the strip ends. The members may be of double rectangle shape blanked in side by side relation or may be forked 14 and tailed 15 and blanked in end to end relationship. The fastening member may be of the type described in Specification 861,473, of the shape shown in Fig. 11 or Fig. 15.
