Abstract
1,105,323. Oil burners. SCHIELDROP & CO. Ltd. 14 April, 1965 [17 April, 1964], No. 16051/64. Heading F4T. Air is fed by tangential passages 14 into a swirl chamber (15) and draws oil through a nozzle 11 on the end of an oil pipe extending axially through the swirl chamber. The air and atomized oil mixture discharges through an outlet 12 into a refractory sleeve 21 leading to a furnace. The air supply is controlled by a butterfly valve 26. The oil is supplied through a cut-off tap 30 from a float chamber (29).
