Abstract

1,168.064. Burners. HAUCK MFG. CO. 5 Feb., 1968 [8 Feb., 1967], No. 5654/68. Heading F4T. In a fuel gas-air mixing system for a gas burner, gas is supplied under pressure through a duct 20 having a supply conduit 24 so as to issue substantially radially through a slot 34 defined between the end 30 of the duct and a guide 32 having a surface which progressively recedes downstream, and air entering the open end of housing 10 is caused to flow toward the hemispherical end surface of guide 32 to be entrained in the gas stream. A flame holder may be attached to the end of housing 10 to prevent flashback. In a modification, Fig. 6, a conventional liquid fuel atomizer 70 is mounted in the tip of guide 32.
