Abstract

1,088,475. Stripping cables. BRITISH INSULATED CALLENDER'S CABLES Ltd. July 4, 1966 [May 12, 1965], No. 20017/65. Addition to 828,171. Heading H2C. The device shown is for stripping helically the outer sheathing of mineral insulated cables. The cable is housed in a member having a suitably sized circular hole and clamped at 12. The blade 8 is mounted in a recess 5, the plane of which is at an angle to the plane perpendicular to the cable axis. The blade is adjustable radially of the cable by releasing a clamping screw 9. Both of the edges of the blade are provided with cutting surfaces so that the blade can be turned round.
