Abstract

1,164,544. Stripping insulation. BRITISH INSULATED CALLENDER'S CABLES Ltd. 10 May, 1968 [10 May, 1967], No. 21726/67. Heading H2C. In a device similar to that of Specification 1,101,917, the blade 7 is pivotally mounted on a fixed stud 9 and held in position by a wing nut 10. A knurled wheel 14 is freely rotatably mounted in a recess 15, the wheel having an upstanding eccentric pin 18 which engages a slot 12 in one end of the blade 7. Rotation of the wheel 14 by thumb, after the nut 10 has been slackened, causes the blade to pivot to bring its cutting edge into a position suitable for cutting the sheath of any one of a limited range of cables of different diameters.
