Abstract

1324110 Cable stripping tool SPEED SYSTEMS Ine 1 Dec 1970 [11 Dec 1969] 56931/70 Heading H2C As the tool is rotated about a cable a blade produces a radial cut, the blade being adjustable to vary the depth of cut and its helix angle. As shown the blade 24 is secured by a screw 76 in a member 72 angularly located by a slot 78 engaging a lug 54 on a bushing 52, which is angularly adjustable by a rod 56 but may be locked by a screw threaded knob 70 which tightens a block 62 against an abutment 68. The depth of cut is adjusted by a knob 82 in screwthreaded engagement with the member 72, axial movement of the knob 82 bring by a bifurcated member 92 engaging a slot 84 in the knob. The cable is located between a surface 38 and two other surfaces, not shown, disposed in V formation on a member 20 adjustable on the handle 18. All the surfaces may have friction reducing coatings.
