Abstract

1,209,311. Stripping cables. MINISTER OF TECHNOLOGY. 6 March, 1968 [2 Jan., 1967], No. 39/67. Heading H2C. A cable stripping tool comprises a cable clamp 3 and a support 2 having two sections 10, 11, of different radii, and a blade 4, so positioned by adjustment of screws 16, 14, (7), that rotation of blade carrier 6 about pivots 9 causes the blade initially to dig into the cable insulation 22 and then as it reaches the upper surface of the cable conductors 21, the angle of incidence is reduced and the blade slides along the upper surface of said conductors. The tool may include a heating element for warming the blade.
