Abstract
1,077,328. Loud-speakers. PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd. March 3, 1965 [March 6, 1964], No. 9079/65. Heading H4J. The peripheral flange 9 of a loud-speaker is fastened to a support plate 11 by generally triangular clamping plates 7. A bolt 23 is anchored relative to the support plate 11 (e.g. by being secured in a wooden block 21), passes through an aperture 25 in the associated clamping plate 7 and, together with a wing nut 27, urges the three corner regions of the clamping plate 7 towards the support plate 11. Two corner regions engage the peripheral flange 9 to clamp the flange 9 between the clamping plate 7 and the support plate 11 and each has a projection 15 which fits an aperture 16 in the flange 9. The third corner region has a disc-like projection (19), Fig. 1 (not shown), whereby pressure is applied to the support plate 11, e.g. via the block 21. The clamping plates 7 have stiffening ribs 13. The apertures 25 may have a slightly larger dimension in the direction of the line of connection between the bolts 23, whereby in use displacement of the loud-speaker is possible in a direction at right angles to the force of gravity.
