Abstract

The two clamp sections are made of metal, and may be cast or formed later. Two identical pieces are sufficient to clamp three bars (15, 16, 17) at right angles to each other. Each piece has three surfaces perpendicular to one another, each equipped with a flange edge which will hook over the bar edge. The flange and surface of each plate hold two sides of a member. The second holds the opposite sides of the same member. The pieces are joined together by an angled bolt tightened against an angled corner plate, so that the pull is normal to the corner plate.
