Abstract

1,135,707. Hooks, clamps. BRITISH SCREW CO. Ltd. 13 Sept., 1967, No. 41764/67. Addition to 1067844. Headings E2A and E2B. [Also in Division F2] A hook bolt comprises a shank 10 having a threaded portion 11 at one end thereof and a hook portion 16 at the other end thereof, the hook portion comprising a first part 13 which lies parallel or substantially parallel to the shank and spaced away therefrom in sideby-side relation thereto so as to provide a gap therebetween adapted to receive a flange 17 of a purlin 14 a seccndd part 15 which lies in plane perpendicular to the shank is joined at that end of the first part which is nearer the threaded portion of the shank and extending on the side of said first part distance from said gap and adapted to engage an arm of the purlin lying in a plane at right angles to said flange and a connecting part 16 joining said two parts of the hook portion to the shank the connecting part joining the end of the shank distant from the threaded end to the end of the first part distant from the threaded end of the shank. As shown the bolt is used with a nut 20 to secure sheeting 19 to the purlin.
