Abstract

The yoke (8) is U-shaped and is used for clamping perpendicular tubes together. There are two holes (2, 3) in line with each other and of a dia sufficiently large to allow one tube to pass through. The second tube (17) is fitted through the concave hollow of the U, and lies at right angles to the first (4). The base of the U is bent into a recess (12) which can neatly fit a hexagonal nut (13) between flats. A bolt (6) passes through a hole in the yoke in the bottom of this recess, and is tightened against the first tube (17), pressing it up against the second tube (4).
