Abstract

1,080,665. Mounting wall facings; clamps; stud and socket fastenings. O. H. ICKLER. June 18, 1965 [June 19, 1964], No. 25885/65. Headings E1W and E2B. Wall facing panels of, e.g. asbestos cement, are fixed to a concrete or timber wall by a mounting plate 1 which is fixed to the wall and supports the panels (not shown) via bars 2 inserted into apertures 4 and in the plate and rotated through 90‹. The panels are supported via angle-section members 10 (Fig. 2, not shown), each with a toothed flange engaged by the toothed jaws of a bar 2, which can be screwed together. The apertures 4 have rectangular outer portions 4a, and square inner portions 4b. When the plate is mounted flush with the face of a concrete wall, a bifurcated wall anchor 3 is first fixed into an aperture 9 similar to the apertures 4, but facing in the opposite direction. When the plate is mounted on a timber wall, it is screwed thereto via holes 14.
