Abstract

1524846 Stud and socket fastening ASSOCIATED CONTAINER TRANSPORTATION SERVICES Ltd 11 Oct 1976 [17 Nov 1975] 47315/75 Heading E2B A fastening for fixing a container comprises a frame 1 with aperture 7, and a rectangular locking plate 2 on the end of a rod 4 which is movable by means of nut 6. In use the fastening is brought up adjacent a corner piece at the base of a container and the rectangular locking member inserted through a rectangular aperture in the bottom face of the corner piece. The fastening is then rotated through 90‹ and the nut tightened to clamp the bottom face of the corner piece between the locking member and the frame of the device. The fastening is then fixed e.g. to another container using aperture 7.
