Abstract

1,038,469. Direct connections between conductors. PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd. March 3, 1964 [March 6, 1963], No. 8949/64. Heading H2E. A joint between two electrically conducting bodies, one of which has a plate-shaped part provided with at least one aperture, comprises electrically conductive adhesive between the conducting bodies with further adhesive material extending through the aperture or apertures to form a head or heads of adhesive remote from the contact surfaces. The joint is formed, for example, between a contact strip 1 having apertures 3 and an electroluminescent cell 2, by applying in the soft state conductive adhesive, consisting of ethoxyline resin containing approximately 60% silver powder, and pressing the conductors together so that the adhesive, after hardening, forms heads 4. The apertures, which may be circular or slot-shaped, may be formed in both bodies.
