Abstract

A laminated strip material comprises an electrically conductive flexible metallic foil-type strip, e.g. of aluminium, extended along and bonded to one side of a flexible non-conductive tape composed of polytetrafluorethylene having finely divided particles of ferromagnetic material dispersed therein. The proportion of ferromagnetic material dispersed in the P.T.F.E. may be up to 90% by volume. The particles of ferromagnetic material if also electrically conductive, e.g. of iron, may be insulatively coated, e.g. with a phosphate coating, before being incorporated in the strip. The P.T.F.E. may be sintered or not before bonding to the conductive strip. The conductive element may be formed by vacuum metallizing, and may be narrower or wider than, or of the same width as, the tape. Specifications 837,198 and 837,199 are referred to.
