[Also in Group XXXVI] Paper screening tapes for electric cables comprise two superposed layers, one insulating and the other conductive, the latter consisting exclusively of cellulose fibre pulp having an electrically conductive powder such as carbon black incorporated therewith. The insulating layer may comprise cellulose fibre pulp or a coating of varnish or plastic material. The tapes may be made by bringing into intimate contact two layers of cellulose fibre pulp, one loaded with conductive powder, and then pressing them between suitable rolls so that they become integrated.
