<PICT:1037750/C6-C7/1> In an open grid structure the primary elements 10 comprise heat-treated and aged aluminium base alloys in extruded form within the percentage composition by weight range 0.4 to 0.8 silicon, 0.7 iron, 0.15 to 0.4 copper, 0.15 manganese, 0.8 to 1.2 magnesium, 0.15 to 0.35 chromium, 0.25 zinc, 0.15 titanium, balance aluminium and impurities normally present therein and the cross lacing elements comprise also heat-treated and aged aluminium base alloys in extruded form within the percentage composition by weight range 0.2 to 0.6 silicon, 0.35 iron, 0.1 copper, 0.1 manganese, 0.45 to 0.9 magnesium, 0.1 chromium, 0.1 zinc, 0.1 titanium, balance aluminium and its normal impurities. The Brinell hardness numbers of the primary elements is at least 95 (500 kg. load -10 mm ball) and of the cross lacing elements is in the range 60-74 (500 kg. ball load-10 mm ball).
