Abstract

1,029,357. Spanners. R. MANKOVITZ. Nov. 9, 1964 [Nov. 12, 1963], No. 45576/64. Heading B4W. A key spanner of hexagonal or other angular cross-section has a socket 3 displaceably but non-rotatably disposed thereon, the socket being formed with a surface contour which fits a wrench. To allow the socket 3 to be locked in different positions along the tool 1, a friction ring 5 of flexible material is concentrically disposed in a recess at one end of the socket, said ring consisting of rubber, plastics or the like and being glued into the recess and positioned by a locking ring 7. The tool may be provided with a hand grip fastened by means of the groove 2.
