Abstract

1,021,283. Multiply bags with heat sealed cover strips. BOWATER RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT CO. Ltd. Jan. 12, 1965 [Jan. 27, 1964], No. 3374/64. Heading B8K. Multi-ply tubing comprising an inner layer 1 of thermoplastic synthetic resin and an outer layer 3 of paper coated at least in the regions 6, 8 with thermoplastic synthetic resin is folded over at 5 and a cover strip 7 heat sealed to the thermoplastic coating. In the form shown the tubing also has two layers of kraft paper 2 and all the layers of the tubing are co-terminus. The thermoplastic synthetic resin with which the whole of the outer layer 3 and one or both sides of the strip 7 may be coated, is preferably polythene. The other end of the bag may be similarly closed or may. incorporate a filling valve.
