Abstract
1,071,296. Carrier bags. K. GÍTZE [trading as NORD - WEST - PAPIERWERKE KARL GÍTZE]. Dec. 18, 1963 [Jan. 26, 1963], No. 50038/63. Heading A4G. A carrier bag 1 of paper or plastics material, having handles 3, is strengthened by glueing reinforcing strips 2 to the inner or outer surface of the bag 1 overlapping the handles 3 and extending down the sides and across the bottom of the bag. There may be one wide strip embracing the whole region between the ends of the handle and a wire, thread or band may be inserted between the strips 2 and the wall of the bag. Alternatively with a doublelayer carrier bag the two layers may be glued together to form the strips 2. The handles may be of string.
