Abstract

1,011,154. Packaging in heat-sealed tubing. SCHWEIZERISCHE INDUSTRIE - GES. Aug. 27, 1962 [Aug. 30, 1961], No. 32764/62. Heading B8C. [Also in Division B5] As a pair of heat-sealing jaws 4a, 4b move together to heat seal a tube extending (vertically in Fig. 6) between them, tucks are folded and held in the tube by pairs of links 5 pivoted together and to the welding heads. A duplicate set of links may be placed above the welding heads. A knife blade (not shown) in a slot 8b in one of the heads co-operates with a slot 8a in the other head. The welding heads are guided by slides (not shown) engaged by the brackets 3 to which the links 5 are pivoted.
