Abstract
1,002,097. Textile treating apparatus. H. FLEISSNER, H. FLEISSNER, and G. FLEISSNER [trading as ESTABLISHMENT FOR AUTOMATION]. Jan. 22, 1964 [Jan. 22,1963], No. 2753/64. Heading D1L. A device for the wet treatment of materials comprises perforated belts for conveying the material through a bath, squeezing devices arranged to lie below the liquid surface when the bath is filled and a plurality of suction chambers arranged above and below the belts whereby liquid is sucked through the material and the belts in both directions. As shown material 3 to be treated is conducted between two sieve fabrics or belts 2 being guided by pairs of pressing cylinders 4. Between the pairs of cylinders 4 are arranged one of more suction devices 1 for sucking away washing liquor &c. Guide rollers 5 may be provided to press the material and belts into contact with the suction devices 1. In use the apparatus is immersed in a bath of treatment liquor and the two belts are continuous, the bottom belt being used for leading the material into and out of the bath either on its own or in conjunction with the upper belt. In Fig. 4 material is fed into bath 6 on an endless belt 2c which co-operates with a second endless belt 2c guided over two cylinders 7 which may be sieve cylinders. The material after treatment between the two belts is fed on to a further belt 10 and is conducted out of the bath thereby. If desired nozzle devices may be placed opposite each suction chamber to assist in forcing liquid through the material being treated and the suction chambers and nozzles may be adjustable both in spacing and in orientation relative to the direction of movement of the material.
