Abstract
L'invention décrit une masse de captation de mercaptans particulièrement adaptée au traitement de coupes essences oléfiniques et chargées en soufre telles que les essences issues du craquage catalytique. La masse de captation comprend une phase active à base de particules de métal du groupe VIII, IB ou IIB préparée par une étape de mise en contact d’un support poreux avec un sel métallique dudit métal du groupe VIII, IB ou IIB et une étape de chauffage du mélange obtenu à une température supérieure à la température de fusion dudit sel métallique. L'invention concerne également un procédé de mise en œuvre de ladite masse de captation pour l’adsorption de mercaptans.
