Abstract

The expander consists of four linked panels (4) and a diagonal flap (5) that assemble to make a square tube for fitting inside a tubular support. It has two flaps (9) located at the corners formed by adjacent flat and rigid panels that make contact with the inner surface of the support and are fixed to it e.g. by adhesive or rivets, the flaps being made by U-shaped cuts (10) in the panels. The lower edge of the expander has slots (7) to receive feet that help to keep the support upright.
