Abstract

The invention concerns a support comprising at least one panel (2) made of substantially rigid and collapsible material including a display surface (3), return and stressing elastic bands (44) for dishing the display surface of the panel and a plurality of inserts (18-20) for maintaining the convexity of the display surface of the panel, countering the stressing rubber bands, and whereof the action is exerted discretely distributed along said display surface of the panel. The inserts (18-20) are equal in length to the distance between the two side edges (8, 9) of the panel (2), when it is dished, said panel being extended by two series of side flaps (12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17) designed to form two series of dihedrals for receiving the inserts, the rubber bands (44) co-operating with the inserts and the flaps (12-17) and exerting, additionally to their horizontal stressing force, opposite vertical forces (49. 50) to maintain the inserts heightwise when the display surface is dished.

Description

Sup port of inf ormat i ons

The field of the invention ^is that the display of information media for communication or visual advertising at the scene of actual POS sales. The displays of the invention are collapsible columns on themselves and unfoldable almost automatically, with the advantage of being able to be transported and stored in excellent conditions, on the one hand, and to be very quickly installed on site, on the other hand.

More specifically, the invention relates to an information display rack with at least one presentation surface, comprising at least one blank of a substantially rigid and collapsible material comprising said presentation face, resilient means of return and stress for bomber the flank presentation face and a plurality of inserts for maintaining the presentation face of the blank in the curved state, antagonists of the elastic means of stress, and whose action is exercised in a discreetly distributed way along of said blank presentation face.

From a folded state, it suffices to start unfolding the support so that, under the action of the stressing means, it unfolds completely automatically. Naturally, conversely, the folding of the support takes place against the action of the stressing means.

Such a presentation medium is taught by the document FR 2 824 946.

In this support, the support strips, or inserts, have a length less than the distance between the two lateral edges of the blank, or panel, providing the presentation face in its curved state. -

To keep the elastics attached, on the one hand, to an end portion. of fastening, and abutment inserts and, secondly, and borders, or flaps, abutment laterally extending the panel of the presentation face, it is also proposed in this document of the prior art, to provide, in the end portion of attachment and abutment inserts, flaps for passage and retaining elastics. In addition to the disadvantage of the difficulty of sliding the elastics in the flaps, these flaps stiffen the inserts in their end portions which, relatively, weakens the rest of the inserts at the risk of flaming.

In any case, and therefore because of the reduced length of the inserts, the problem of maintaining them in height or in a horizontal position when the display is in the deployed state, remains intact, this problem being directly related to the existence of this plurality of elementary and discrete inserts. .

It is this problem that the plaintiff sought to solve. It was then that the applicant thought of going back and first of all to take up one of the ideas that had led to the development of an even older display stand, as described in document FR 2 760 880, and in which a single and continuous counter-holding back panel along the front panel of the presentation face abuts by its side edges in the dihedrons formed by the front panel of the presentation face and its side flaps.

Thus, the invention relates to a display stand of the type specified above, characterized in that the antagonistic holding inserts of the elastic stressing means have a length equal to the distance between the two lateral edges of the blank, in its state. curved blank extending beyond the presentation face by two series of side flaps intended to form two series of dihedron receiving the holding inserts and the elastic means are arranged to cooperate with the holding inserts and the flaps and exert, in addition to their horizontal force of stress, vertical forces in opposite directions to maintain the height-keeping inserts in the convex state of the presentation face.

The applicant therefore, to propose his new invention, from the teaching of FR 2 824 946, first made a step back and then developed a particular arrangement of the cooperation between the holding inserts, the flaps of the blank of the presentation face and the elastics of stress. This is a pledge of inventive activity. Preferably, the elastic means associated with each holding insert comprise at least one elastic link closed on itself cooperating with one of the flaps of the blank and a fixing end and abutment end portion of the insert to be in a position. trapezoidal shape with two base portions parallel to the side edges of the blank and two portions inclined in opposite directions on these edges for, by decomposition of the forces applied to these inclined portions, exert on the associated insert two vertical forces in opposite directions.

Advantageously, the elastic link is received in two substantially rectilinear indentations inclined of the end portion of the insert, providing a relative positioning function of the flap and the end portion of the insert and a hook function for the elastic link.

Advantageously, the attachment and stop end portion of the insert has an edge parallel to the side edges of the blank and, formed from this edge, a circular notch preventing any jamming between the flap and said end portion of the blank. insert.

Thus, if, due to the elastic, the flap is slightly curved, the edge of the notch curvilinear provides a guide function to prevent jamming between the two parts of the display stand joined by the elastic link.

In a preferred embodiment of the holding inserts, each of their rectilinear indentations connects two edges of the orthogonal inserts to the side edges of the blank not extending in line with one another.

The display rack of the invention may comprise at least two blanks each having a presentation face, the holding inserts comprising two end fixing and abutment portions. The holding inserts, whether it be a display stand with one or more presentation faces, may comprise, opposite their fixing end and abutment portion, a hinge end portion to a flap of the single blank or several flaps of several blanks, joined together by an elastic link and bias stress.

In another embodiment of the display support of the invention, each holding insert is rectangular and it is associated with it a single elastic link closed on itself and folded crosswise along two lateral segments extending substantially along the side edges of the blank and two diagonal cross segments connecting the ends of the side segments, the elastic link being fixed to the side flaps so that the edges of the orthogonal support insert at the side edges of the blank are almost in abutment against the diagonal segments elastic link and that the holding insert is thus maintained in height.

Preferably, the side flaps of the blank are divided into elementary portions spaced from each other and respectively associated with the holding inserts, of greater height than that of the inserts, the elastic links being fixed in notches formed along the dihedra between the flan and the elementary portions of the flaps.

In a particular embodiment, it can be provided at least two blanks each having a presentation face, each extended by two flaps clad in pairs against one side of the inserts by the elastic links.

It has been seen above that the applicant was concerned to avoid any jamming between the flaps of the blank and the holding inserts.

Well, still in this spirit, the applicant proposes, in a still different embodiment, the holding inserts extending in a first layer and the side flaps of the blank, according to a second layer, that the elastic means of stress extending in a third sheet interposed between the two plies of the inserts and flaps.

Preferably, the elastic means associated with each holding insert comprise at least one elastic link closed on itself cooperating with one of the flaps of the plane and a fixing end portion and abutment of the insert to be in a position. triangular shape with a base portion parallel to the side edges of the plane and two portions inclined in opposite directions on these edges for, by decomposition of forces applied to these inclined portions, exert on the associated insert two vertical forces in opposite directions.

In this case, it is advantageous for the elastic link to be hooked to a hook formed in the fastening end and abutment end portion of the insert and received in two indentations of the associated flap, the hook of the insert and the indentations. flap being arranged so that, during the action exerted by the elastic link to bend the blank, when the end portion of the insert and the associated flap come to right of each other in a zone of beginning of recovery, each said inclined portion of the elastic link passes through such a zone.

Preferably, the end attachment and abutment portion of each insert has a lateral edge parallel to the side edges of the blank with an anti-jamming notch providing two abutment areas.

More preferably, each insert hook is formed by cutting an indentation shaped for this purpose.

The invention will be better understood from the following description of four interesting embodiments of the display stand, with reference to the accompanying drawing, in which:

With reference to FIG. 1, the display stand 1 comprises a blank 2 with a presentation face 3 made of a substantially rigid material, here made of cardboard, and foldable on itself here along two intermediate lines 4, 5, parallel to the upper edges 6 and lower 7 of the blank.

The blank 2 has two lateral edges 8, 9, perpendicular to the upper and lower edges 6, 7 in the folded state of the support, or to the planes in which these edges extend when the support is in the deployed state, as in Figure 1 and that the blank is curved, and beyond these side edges 8, 9, the blank 2 is extended by two side flaps 10, 11, cut, each, to release elementary flap portions, here there are three of 12, 13, 14 and 15, 16, 17, separated from each other on either side of the fold lines 4, 5 and which are associated respectively holding inserts 18, 19, 20.

Each portion of elementary flap 12-17 forms a dihedron for receiving a holding insert 18-20.

Near their transverse edges 21, 22 and only a single portion of elementary flap 12 will be considered, since it is the same for the others, there is provided a curvilinear notch 23 inclined towards the corresponding edge 22 and terminating in an eyelet 24 for receiving an elastic link approached further, two eyelets of the same portion of the elementary flap being spaced a distance greater than the width of the holding inserts 18, 19, except for the extreme insert lower 20.

The upper edge 25 of the upper elemental flap portions 12, 15 is perpendicular to the side edges 8, 9 of the blank 2, as is the lower edge 26 of the lower elementary flap portions 14, 17. By contrast, the lower edge 27 of the portions upper elemental flap flaps 12, 15, both transverse edges 21, 22 here only intermediate flap portions 13, 16 and the upper transverse edge 28 of lower flap portions 14, 17 are bevelled to allow folding and folding of the support.

The holding inserts 18-20, also here in cardboard, are generally rectangular in shape. Their length is equal to the distance separating the two lateral edges 8, 9 of the blank 2, in its curved state of FIG. 1, their lateral edges 29, 30, parallel to the lateral edges of the blank 2, being arranged in the dihedrons formed by the blank 2 and its elementary flap portions 12-17, abutting the inside of the transverse edges 8, 9 of the blank 2.

The holding inserts 18-20 each comprise two attachment and stop end portions 31, 32 extending from their lateral edges 29, 30 to two rectilinear notches 33, 34 inclined towards these edges, to receive thus the elastic links described below. The width of these attachment and stop end portions 31, 32 is smaller than the width of the central portion of the inserts.

In other words, each chip 33, 34 connects two edges of the inserts 35, 36 and 37, 38, orthogonal to the lateral edges 8, 9 of the blank 2, that is to say to the lateral edges 29, 30 of the inserts. , not extending in the extension of one another. The two inserts 18, 19 are identical and it is formed in each of their end portions, from the side edge 29, 30, a circular recess 39, 40 whose function is to prevent any jamming between the elementary flap portion and the end portion of the corresponding insert. If the elastic 44 slightly bombs the portion of elemental flap 12, which thus takes a certain depth, if the lateral edge of the insert did not include this circular cutout, in the case of a portion of narrow flap, the risk of jamming would be really obvious.

The last lower insert 20, intended to come close to the ground and thus carrying a support foot 41, is wider than the others and has a lower transverse band 42 extending below the lower curvilinear indentations 34 of the last elementary flap portions. 14, 17 and connecting to the inner edges of the rectilinear indentations by wide necks 43.

Each portion of elementary flap 12-17 is connected to an end fixing and abutment portion 31, 32 of an insert by an elastic link 44 closed on itself, that is to say an elastic, received on the one hand, after having been slid into the curvilinear indentations 23, in the eyelets 24 of the flap portion and, on the other hand, in the rectilinear indentations 33, 34 of the end portion of the insert serving of hooks. Each elastic 44 is thus in a trapezoidal shape with two base portions 45, 46, parallel to the side edges 8, 9 of the blank 2, one of which is external to the outside of the flap portion, visible in FIG. 1, and the other internal 46, shorter than the other, against the inside of the insert, invisible and shown in dashed lines in FIG. 1, and two portions 47, 48 inclined in opposite directions on these lateral edges and slid between the flap portion and the insert. It will be noted that the holding inserts 18-20 thus exert antagonistic actions of the elastics 44 which must be described as recall and stress, these actions being exercised discreetly distributed along the blank 2 and its presentation face 3 .

The embodiment of the display stand 101 of Figure 2 is similar to the previous but simpler. Also, the homologous elements are referenced as in Figure 1 but in the order of one hundred.

It always comprises a blank 102, with a presentation face 103, and elementary flap portions 112-117, here of rectangular shape, beyond the lateral edges 108, 109, spaced apart from each other, and holding inserts. 118-120 also totally rectangular except the last 120, for a reason that will appear later. The inserts always have a length equal to the distance separating the two lateral edges of the blank in the deployed state. Their width is here significantly less than the length (the height) of the elementary flap portions.

The elementary flap portions are notched at their two ends 170, 171, near their transverse edges to cut along the edge of the dihedral which they each form with the blank a rectilinear notch 123 terminated by an eyelet 124 receiving the 'an elastic link.

Each holding insert is held by a single elastic link 144 closed on itself and folded in a cross. Each insert being inserted between the rear face 180 of the blank 102, visible in FIG. 2, and two elementary flap portions, its lateral edges abutting in the dihedrons, each elastic 144, received in the four corresponding eyelets 124, extends along two lateral segments 160, 161 extending substantially along the lateral edges of the blank 102, between the blank and the flap portions, and two diagonal segments 162, 163 in cross connecting the ends of the side segments, the diagonal segments passing behind the ends 170, 171 of the elementary flap portions, then visible in Figure 2, and in front of the inserts, between the rear face 180 of the blank and these inserts, as shown in FIG. dashes 2. Thus, each elastic 144, attached to the two elementary flap portions by the four corresponding eyelets, serves as positioning stop of the associated insert whose edges 135, 137 orthogonal to the side edges 108, 109 of the blank abut against the diagonal segments 162, 163 of the elastic. This is how the holding inserts are maintained in height, in a horizontal position.

It will be noted that it is also by the decomposition of the elastic forces exerted on the diagonal segments of the elastics, with vertical forces of opposite directions, that the positioning is ensured.

Regarding the last lower insert 120, it has at its two lower lateral ends two important curvilinear notches 170, 171 for the passage of the diagonal segments 162, 163 of the associated elastic. Indeed, this insert must rest on the ground by its lower edge 180, as the lower edge 107 of the blank 102, opposite the upper edge 106 and a support foot 141 is fixed thereto.

Like the support of FIG. 1, the support 101 can be folded on itself around the fold lines 104, 105, against the action of the elastics 144.

So far, two embodiments of the display stand holder with only one presentation face and one blank have been described. But the display rack of the invention may include two or more.

Thus, with reference to FIG. 3, the display stand 201 comprises two blanks 202, 202 'identical to the blank of FIG. 2 joined back-to-back by their elementary flap portions 212, ... 215 and 215 '... 212', respectively. Of course, and as before, the homologous elements bear the same references as in the other two figures, but in the order of the second hundred, award-winning and non-winning. Thus, in FIG. 3, we see the blanks 202, 202 ', with one 202', its rear face 208 ', the other 202, its presentation face 203.

The same rectilinear notches 223 each terminated by the same eyelet 224 are formed in the elementary flap portions along the edges of the dihedrons.

The support 201, on the other hand, comprises only a series of holding inserts 218, ... The elementary flap portions, placed side by side, are pressed against one and the same side of the inserts 218 by the same elastic links 244, with their lateral segments 260, 261 and their diagonal segments 262, 263. In this case, it will be noted that the inserts are received only in a single series of dihedrons formed between a blank and its intermediate flap portions, in this case the flan 202. But taking into account that the flap portions of the two blanks are placed side by side, the arrangement is equivalent: functionally, it is as if the inserts were also received in the dihedrons formed between the other blank 202 and its elementary flap portions 212 '... 215'.

The elastic links 244 are passed through the eyelet pairs 224 of the two blanks. In the case shown in FIG. 3, the lateral elements 260, 261 of the elastics 244 extend more or less _. along the faces of the inserts 218 facing the rear face of the blank 202, as the central portions of the diagonal members 262, 263, the end portions 292, 293 of which extend as far as the eyelets 224, extend along the faces of the elementary flap portions 212 '... 215' of the other blank 202 ', facing the rear face 280' thereof. The embodiment of the display rack 301 of Figures 4-6 is similar to that of Figure I. Also, the homologous elements are referenced as in Figure 1 but in the order of the second hundred. The display rack 301 comprises a single blank 302 extending between an upper edge 306 and a lower edge and two lateral edges perpendicular to the first two, including the edge 308. As in the embodiment of FIG. 1, the two transverse edges of the intermediate flap portions are bevelled to allow the folding and folding of the support, as are the lower edges of the upper flap portions and the upper edges of the flaps. lower flap portions.

The holding inserts 318, also here in cardboard, are of generally rectangular shape. The holding inserts 318 each comprise two fixing end and abutment end portions 331, 332 extending from their lateral edges 329, 330 to a central notch 360, of generally appropriate shape and here rectangular to provide a small hook-shaped tip 361 on the side of the associated transverse edge 308, to thereby receive the elastic links described below.

The inserts 318 are identical and it is formed in each of their end portions, from the side edge 329, 330, a circular recess 339, 340 whose function is to prevent any jamming between the elementary flap portion and the portion end of the corresponding insert. But we will see later that this jamming is really prevented by another important feature of this support.

Each portion of elementary flap 312 is connected to an attachment and abutment end portion 331, 332 of an insert by an elastic link 344 closed on itself, that is to say an elastic, received, on the one hand, after having been slipped into the curvilinear notches 323, into the eyelets 324 of the flap portion and, on the other hand, into the notch 360 of the end portion of the insert, on the hook 361 Each elastic band 344 is thus in a triangular shape with a base portion 345, parallel to the side edges 308 of the blank 302, and two portions 347, 348 inclined in opposite directions on these side edges and slid between the flap portion and the insert. The holding inserts 318 exert actions antagonistic to those of the elastics 344 which must be described as recall and stress, these actions being exerted in a discrete manner distributed along the blank 302 and its presentation face 303.

The wedging between the flaps and the inserts, when deploying the display stand, is completely prevented by the following features and first of all at the first.

The holding inserts 318 extend, so to speak, along a first plane sheet. The side flaps 312 extend along a second flat sheet. The elastics 344 are attached to the hooks 361 of the inserts and in the notches 323 of the side flaps so that their inclined portions 347, 348 extend in front of the side flaps, that is to say between these flaps and the rear face of the blank 302, and behind the inserts 318, that is to say that they extend along a third sheet interposed between the ply of the flaps 312 and the web of the inserts 318.

On the other hand, because of the notch 339, 340, the side edge 329 of an end portion 331 for securing and abutting the inserts 318 is roughly reduced to two end stop segments 371, 372. spacing eyelets 324 notches 323 side flaps 312 and positioning hooks 361 inserts 318 are such that, during the action exerted by the elastics 344 to bulge the blank 302, when these edge segments 371, 372 flaps 312 come to the right of the inner side edges 373 of the flaps 312, as in Figure 5, while the inclined portions 347, 348 of the elastics 344 pass through these edge segments, between the flaps and the inserts which ends up ensuring that there will be no jamming. Naturally, the embodiment of Figures 4-6 could be altered by doubling presentation faces and blanks with their flap portions. The characteristics presented above would remain totally, since the elastics would be hooked no longer to a single portion of flap, but to two portions contiguous to each other of the two blanks considered, the inclined portions 347, 348 of the elastics continuing to extend between the associated single insert and the pairs of flap portions contiguous.

Naturally, any embodiment variant presented with respect to the other three previous embodiments could also be envisaged from this fourth embodiment.

Claims
